Change is the keyword in every sphere of human life. The world of economics or business too is not exempt from this rule. The world of business is indeed one of the most dynamic ones and changes keep taking place all the time. And the most recent change which is visible on the horizon is the advent of the Business Process Outsourcing industry. This industry, being a recent one, is still maturing and has got a long distance to traverse before it becomes one of the leading sectors. But this segment has shown enough competence to make it far in the cut throat world of business.

The first point that needs to be explained is what is business process outsourcing. It is also known by its abbreviated form BPO and it is proving to be a major element of the outsourcing process. These tasks include jobs like handling customer complaints ( handled by customer care outsourcing), marketing and advertising the products, managing the media on the behalf of the client company and so on and so forth mostly. All these outsourcing is generally doen through offshoring, as it saves a lot of money for th4e company using outsourcing services.

The companies which specialize in handling these tasks of outsourcing are known as BPO companies. These companies are mainly from the IT or Information Technology field. Now the client companies, which are from the core sectors, outsource their administrative and other such peripheral tasks to these BPO companies who handle the work and ensure that the work is completed successfully as well as on time.

This outsourcing process of the peripheral work is advantageous to both, the client as well as the BPO firm to which the tasks are being outsourced. When the peripheral tasks get outsourced to BPO companies, the employees of the client company can concentrate exclusively on their areas of core competence. This increases the productivity of each employee, which in turn translates into better profits or bottom-lines for the parent organization.

On the other hand, by means of Business Process Outsourcing, Information Technology companies, Customer care outsourcing which are relatively new in the industrial scene and are still in the process of finding their feet are integrating and familiarizing themselves with the existing value chain in the economy. Also, particular BPO companies specialize in particular areas. For instance a BPO company can have handling auditing tasks as its core area of competency. So if the tasks of auditing are given to that particular BPO, then it can draw upon its expertise in the field and complete the task in a satisfactory fashion.

Thus we find that the process of BPO, business process outsourcing or offshoring which in itself is a part of the former is highly advantageous for all and that is the main reason for the phenomenal rise of this company.
